This years Killarney Scratch Cup will take place on Saturday July 21. It is being kindly sponsored by the Killarney Plaza Hotel. A first prize equal to the maximum amateur guidelines set down by the R and A will be on offer to the winner.
The tournament will be held over two rounds on the famous Killeen Course and at €40 represents fantastic value. A free practice round is also on offer to all confirmed entries. Derek Byrne of both Douglas and Killarney Golf Clubs is defending champion.
For value for money this cannot be beaten. Three rounds of golf at a world class venue with lunch thrown in and the opportunity to play the course in a competitive event from championship tees for €40 is surely too good to pass up.
